Top athletes from around the world—with and without intellectual disabilities – will compete to make it to the Unified Cup Women’s and Men’s final at Toyota Park on Friday, July 20th.
This Unified Cup will put a global spotlight on the skills and talents of Special Olympics athletes. The competition also showcases the unifying power of sport! And it’s all part of the five-day celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Special Olympics.
A total of 24 teams—16 male and 8 female—will come from around the world: Bharat (India), Brazil, Canada, China, Ecuador, France, Germany, Italy, Japan (Nippon), Kenya, Korea, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, Slovakia, United Arab Emirates, United States and Uruguay.
On the day of the event, gates will open at 3:30pm. The events are currently scheduled as follows: Legends at 4:00 p.m., Women's Final at 5:00 p.m., and Men's Final at 6:20 p.m.
